Power adapter fault detection steps
First, you can check whether the power adapter or laptop battery is in good contact by gently shaking the power connector or battery. If it is not normal, try to reinstall the power adapter or battery. Possible failure conditions are deformation of the power connector or reduced elasticity of the battery contacts.
Observe the failure phenomenon, after opening the cover, you should first make a visual inspection. Check whether there are foreign objects in the power adapter, whether the cable is loose or broken, whether the components are soldered or broken, whether the circuit board components are damaged, etc., and then check the power supply and observe the failure phenomenon. .
If the power supply or battery connector is good, you can use a multimeter to measure the output voltage of the power adapter or battery, mainly to check whether the output voltage is stable, and whether the actual output voltage value is consistent with the nominal voltage of the power supply. If the difference is large, the damaged power adapter or battery needs to be replaced.
Determine the fault range, determine various possible causes of the fault according to the fault phenomenon, and roughly determine the fault range according to the measurement results.
If the notebook power board, the power adapter and the battery are in good contact, then use the usual replacement method to check whether the notebook power board is normal. If it is not normal, it can be replaced or repaired.
