The failure characteristics of construction machinery and equipment are different, and different characteristics are applied in different stages of use.

- (2) Construction machinery is used in the overhaul phase close to the fault characteristics. When the construction machinery is used during the overhaul period, the loss of each component increases. The technical condition deteriorates and the failure stage is characterized by a high failure rate. Generally speaking, most of the blockages are caused by the aging of components due to wear, and there are more leaks and undesirable phenomena.
- (3) Failure characteristics of construction machinery during normal use. After the construction machinery is completed, the personnel are in normal use stage. During the operation of construction machinery at this stage, as long as the maintenance is specified and used correctly, failures will generally not occur, even if the failures are random failures (this type of failure is concealed, maintenance or inspection is not easy to find), so the failure rate is very low, and the curve rises slightly . If construction machinery breaks down during normal use, many emergency or improper use will cause maintenance.
- (4) Failure characteristics of construction machinery in different seasons. The failure rate of construction machinery is related to the season. The failure rate in winter is higher than in summer. For example, due to the low temperature, the fuel supply system tends to atomize less in winter. The fuel is prone to solidification and clogging, making it difficult to start. Or malfunctions such as engine stalling, lubricating oil fluidity, accelerated mechanical wear, and battery leakage, causing the engine to be difficult to start, unreliable braking, and abnormal fluid transmission.
